Obituary for David Smith
BARRE- David Smith,88, of Summer St. passed away peacefully on Friday, 27,2017 at home.
He leaves 2 daughters Wendy Smith & partner Emily Gaulin of Monson and Diane Lane & her husband Jim of Paxton; a son Robert Smith & his wife Tammy of Florida; grandchildren Ryan Riopel, Meghan Riopel, Hallie, Reese,Mason and Samatha Lane. David was predeceased by his wife Winifred in 2004.
David was born in West Brookfield and has lived in Barre for over 80 years. He was an electrician at the Barre Wool Combing Co. for 30 years and later worked at Norton Co. for 18 years until he retired in 1992. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening,baseball,cooking and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a loving husband,father and grandfather.
Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, February 1,2017 from 5-7PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home 96 S.Barre Rd. Barre. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 11AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Valley Cemetery in Barre.For an online tribute please visit visit: Pillsburyfuneralhome.com
