Obituary for Antonina M Illiscavitch (Sidoti)

BARRE- Antonina M. (Sidoti) Illiscavitch, 89, passed away peacefully on January 10,2017 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington, with her loving daughter by her side.

She is predeceased by her husband Anthony G. "Stretch" Illiscavitch. She leaves her daughter MaryAnn Illiscavitch of Barre; sisters Pauline LaCroix & her husband David and Marie VanDyck & her husband Anthony of Madison,ME.; brothers Charlie Sidoti of Barre and Sam Sidoti & his wife Marilyn of Rutland; brother in law Robert Bycenski of Ludlow; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Dominic Sidoti & his wife Mary of Rutland ; sister Josephine Bycenski of Ludlow and nephews Gerry Bycenski of Ludlow and Anthony VanDyck Jr. of Skowhegan,ME.

Nina was born on July 18,1927 in South Barre the daughter of the late Girolamo and Antonina Sidoti and has been a lifelong resident. Known to friends as "Ann" and family as "Nina" . She was a devoted wife, mother,sister and aunt. Her family was very important to her and her life revolved around that love.

She worked at Romar Tissue Mills in Wheelwright, briefly at Quabbin Regional High School in food service and Anna Maria College in Paxton in the Housing Department until she retired.

Upon retirement she devoted herself to the love of her home and family. Being of Italian decent she made a hobby of cooking and baking traditional Italian foods. She enjoyed her vast cookbook and recipe collection, shopping,gardening and watching situational comedy shows on tv. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, January 16,2017 from 3-5PM in Pillsbury funeral Home 96 S.Barre Rd. Barre. The funeral will be held on Tuesday with a Mass at 11:00AM in St.Thomas A Becket Church Vernon Ave. S.Barre. The burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery.
