NORTH BROOKFIELD- Judith A. Stickles, 68,passed away October 12, 2016 in Denver. She was born November 28, 1947 in Worcester, MA to James and Mary (Lamothe) Surprise and graduated from David Prouty High School in 1965. She married Alan Stickles May 7, 1966 in West Brookfield, MA and moved to Brighton, CO in 2013 from North Brookfield, MA.
Judith was a self-employed hairdresser that worked out of her home in Brookfield, MA for many years. She loved to spend time reading the Bible and was very involved with the Daughters of St. Monica through St. Augustine Catholic Church and won the 2016 Colorado State Lady of the Year. She enjoyed playing Bunko, decorating and doing crafts with flowers.
Judith is survived by her husband of 50 years, Alan Stickles, of Brighton; three children, John Stickles of Brighton, Deanna Stickles of Webster, MA and Kyle Stickles of Brighton; three siblings, James Surprise of Spencer, MA, Paul Surprise of Brimfield, MA and Norine Laferriere of Westerly, RI; three grandsons, Adam, Keenan and Eric.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service Thursday, November 17,2016 at 11AM in Walnut Grove Cemetery in North Brookfield.
